The mentorship consists of 5 focused sessions tailored to the winner's needs, covering the following areas:
- Session 1: Creative Adaptation: Consultation on adapting the live performance into a screenplay, with a focus on storytelling, structure, and character development.
- Session 2: Pre-Production Planning: Guidance on assembling a production team, creating a budget, and crafting a production schedule.
- Session 3: Technical & Artistic Vision: Advice on cinematography, lighting, sound design, and other technical aspects to align with the short film’s narrative style.
- Session 4: Post-Production Workflow: Insights into editing, color grading, and sound mixing to ensure a polished final product.
- Session 5: Distribution & Marketing Strategy: Support in planning for festival submissions, promotional materials, and leveraging the short film for further career opportunities.
Terms & Conditions
Intellectual Property:
- The winning project will be developed under an exclusive Intellectual Property (IP) agreement with Diversity Pictures, a subsidiary of Diversity Entertainment.
- By accepting the mentorship, the winner grants Diversity Pictures the first right of refusal to option the short film for further development (e.g., into a feature film or series).
- Ownership of the final short film will be shared between the creator and Diversity Pictures, with terms negotiated prior to production.
Project Scope:
- The mentorship is limited to the development and completion of a short film of up to 15 minutes in duration.
Timeline:
- Sessions must be scheduled within 6 months of the prize announcement. Unused sessions will expire after this period.
Confidentiality:
- The recipient agrees to maintain confidentiality regarding mentorship advice and Diversity Pictures' proprietary methods or connections.
Production Oversight:
- Diversity Pictures retains oversight during production to ensure the project aligns with the agreed-upon creative and professional standards.
Non-Transferable:
- The mentorship prize is non-transferable and must be utilized by the winner as selected by the 30 Minutes or Less Festival judging panel.

Eligibility:
Participation in the 30 Minutes or Less Festival awards which is open to individuals aged 18 and above.
Prize Terms:
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other forms of compensation. The organizers reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without prior notice.
Liability:
The organizers of the 30 Minutes or Less Festival are not responsible for technical malfunctions, lost or delayed entries, or any other issues that may arise during participation. Participants assume all risks associated with the prizes.
Right to Modify:
The organizers reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the contest or any part of it at any time without prior notification.
Personal Information:
Personal information collected during participation will be used in accordance with our privacy policy and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
Publicity Release:
By entering, participants grant Theater Asylum / Combined Artform the right to use their name, likeness, and entry for promotional and marketing purposes without additional compensation.
Disqualification:
Attempts to manipulate or undermine the legitimate operation of the awards process may result in disqualification at the sole discretion of the organizers.
Jurisdiction:
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of California. Participants agree that any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Los Angeles County.
Acceptance of Terms:
By participating, entrants agree to abide by these terms and conditions and the decisions of the organizers, which are final and binding.
